Scientific collaboration for quality development and knowledge acquisition in soft skills
eduQarte Skills is committed to developing subject areas and quality standards, as well as generating scientific insights in the field of cross-curricular key competences. This also contributes to the systematic improvement of programmes and supports the ongoing evaluation and validation of their impact.

Scientific quality criteria
The application of funding-oriented assessment places high demands on scientific quality criteria. With regard to objectivity, validity and reliability, the assessment framework must be developed and refined in such a way that the evaluation of competencies achieves the highest possible level of conceptual reliability.
Cultural context, behaviour and skills
Furthermore, when applying this approach across cultures, it is important to take cultural specificities into account. This raises fascinating questions in behavioural and social psychology regarding cultural interpretations. Context-specific, culture-dependent logics also apply to the assessment and interpretation of competencies.
Learning platform, skills and learning outcomes
The use of the learning platform for the systematic and needs-based promotion and development of cross-curricular skills allows important conclusions to be drawn about which practices are effective in terms of sustainable learning outcomes. Furthermore, such findings provide an important and empirically grounded basis for quality development and impact evaluation. These findings can contribute to improving learning within the fields of learning and educational research.
Furthermore, there are many other relevant research questions which, as part of the development of knowledge, contribute to improving the effectiveness of the education system. Naturally, when collecting and using data, it is essential to take into account important issues relating to data protection and the dissemination of findings and results.
Partnerships for applied science: Are research institutions interested?
eduQarte is launching a survey of interest and invites academic institutions to participate in a research collaboration as part of their research strategy and core areas of focus. In particular, international research partnerships with institutions from various countries are envisaged. As previously outlined, key questions arise particularly regarding the cultural context of behaviour and skills, and the assessment and development of these. In addition, financial support for the launch of an international research partnership is to be explored within the framework of existing public funding schemes, provided this is in the interests of the participating institutions.
